In fitness related news: I did a squat-happy workout after running a 5k on Saturday, and my thighs are still sore! I've been walking like a bowlegged pirate hooker ad every little move hurts! But it's a good burn. AND I am so excited that I can "easily" (and I use that term lightly) run 3 miles now. I remember the first time I ever ran a whole mile non-stop and I was so proud of myself - Look at me now! (
I am a fan of squats...I especially like when I can sneak them in on the dance floor aka droppin it low, pop lock & droppin it, etc. Observe....my wild wedding reception where we parked it on the windowsill (yes really...we are too good for the dance floor) and put the thigh master to shame. Check out our mom rockin the bare feet and beer bottle. And I think this was before I got a bloody nose from trying to limbo under a tray holder...we like to party!

So the diet bet has begun...and it is so motivating already! I have been feeling more and more inspired but yesterday I really put it into action! I made healthy food choices all day, hit the gym to run another 5k even though my legs didn't wanna, stocked up on some power foods at the grocery store, did a little meal prep and had a healthy dinner when I was starving and had tempting pizza right in front of me!
I have to admit I was very disappointed when I did my initial weigh in on Saturday. Even though I have been mostly eating right and exercising, I haven't been giving my health my main focus and have definitely been making excuses & having too many cheat meals. This was directly reflected in the 10 POUND GAIN since getting married in July! Yowza...you can bet your ass I'm turning this trend right around! I refuse to give up just because I'm married now!
So here's to beginning diet bet, half marathon training, and the beginning of the end of my twenties! CHEERS!
